Farewell my Friend

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe it is Tuesday already.  My goodness the days and weeks fly by.  I thought I would share a quick card that I have done of late that was given to a colleague when she left work recently.  I get asked to create cards all the time and I have to say I love creating bright and happy creations.

This card was used using Stampin' Up products, some still current but also a few that were discontinued as at the 1st of July.

I hope you get a little inspired.  I wish I had time to head to my craft room today, but unfortunately I have to get ready to head in to work.

Enjoy the rest of your day wherever in the world you may be.

Mr & Mrs

Welcome back everyone.

I hope today find you all well.
Doilies are appearing everywhere in paper craft and Couture Creations has brought out their own range called Perfectly Petite Doilies and they are just so so pretty and perfect for your cards.

To start I grabbed a white card base and attached a mat in a colour that would coordinate and go well with the Aztec Gold Glitzin' Glamour that I used on the white flowers.

I then went a little crazy with the Glitzin' Glamour and covered the white flowers with it. Whilst they were drying I die cut some of the doilies in white cardstock.

I created another mat (slightly smaller than the last) in the combination of white with the coffee coloured cardstock.  I did make a boo boo and added foam tape to the back prior to embossing the card, but I really liked the end result with the strong and light embossing so continued to use it on the card.

I cut the doilies that I cut in half and attached them along the seam line of the embossed mat.
Using the Victorian Square Nesting Dies and a different Perfectly Petite Doily I created the sentiment for the front of the card, heat embossing the sentiment in gold. It was then just a matter of attaching the now dry glitzed up flowers with your Turbo Glue pen and adding the sentiment.

Check out some of the close up photos of the card.

I Believe in Fairies by Anita Enright

Hi Everyone,
Anita here, back with another card that I created using some of the many divine dies from
Couture Creations, including the latest release Floral Layers.

So, let's get started.

This card was my first attempt using the Bokeh technique.  The end result came out pretty good.  This card the technique was created using ink pads and dabbers.  I just grabbed some matching purple shades and mixed the colours over my white cardstock.  I then cut a template of circles and used my white stamp pad to soften the look.

My card was larger than normal at around 8x8 inches as it was created to make a farewell card for a fellow work colleague and was to be signed by all the staff.
The card base was cut in white, then I did three further mats each 1/4" smaller than the previous.
I then cut a a frame using the Megan's Magic die from the Amaryllis collection.  I inked the edges and then cut a frame in white for it to be mounted on, then attached it to the background page I made using the Bokeh technique.

I cut out four sets of Floral Layers using the Blue Eyed Daisy set, two in white and two in a coordinating purple.  Ink the edges and using alternate colours construct the flowers using glue dots.  Then add a touch of bling to the centre of each flower.

I die cut the Elegant Fairy from the Secret Garden die collection and added a touch of Glitzin' Glamour in Crystallina to her wings before attaching her to the patterned background using the Turbo glue pen.  I added foam tape to the back of the frame before attaching it to the card mounted base.  Final touches after adding the flowers were some of the 2mm gemstones around the frame.

Check some closeups of my finished card below.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time......
