C'est la Vie "Love" card | Couture Creations

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Hi Everyone,

I am so glad you stopped by.  I have been lucky to have the new C'est La Vie collection on my desk lately and have created another gorgeous card for today.  A girl can never have too many cards in her collection.  I love layers and I love using them on my cards.

So let's go.

For my card I used a white A6 card base. Each patterned paper I chose from the 6x6" paper pad I distressed the edges of.  I covered the front of the card in my chosen paper.  Next I attached a strip of a darker contrasting paper and attached it to the left of the card.

I next layered one of my absolute papers to another patterned paper, again distressing the edges.  I created a banner tab. I added some 3D foam tape to the reverse and adhered it a little off the right side of the card and a little lower than in the middle of the card.  I had some gorgeous pink lace to add to it in my stash.

The ephemera in this collection is gorgeous.  I selected one of the branches from the pack and it had a really little butterfly perched on one of the branches.  I am not a big one for sticking everything down totally so just glued it down on the stem.  This helps give it a more 3D and real effect to the individual pieces.
The white flower I chose for the card I blended the edges of the petals in a matching pink ink.  Once I had these adhered to the card I added a couple of matching green mini flowers from my collection. To finish I tucked one of the cute ephemera birds into the flower and put one of the word sentiments on 3D foam tape in the bottom right corner.

"Thomas and Friends" with Pion Design

Hey Guys

I don't get much time to play just for myself so when I do I really really make sure I love the end result.  I became an auntie again in February of 2017 to a gorgeous nephew Thomas.

I call him 'a new beginning' for my brother. A new chapter in his life and a son :)

The photo in this layout is of my parents with Thomas on the day he was born.
All I can say is........ LOOK AT THAT HAIR!!!!!

Today I actually have two layouts to share using the Theodore and Bella paper range from PION
It is such a beautiful collection of papers with shades for both boys and girls.  I love the neutral colours along with the greens and blues for us doing boy pages.

For the first layout I actually was scanning Pinterest and found a card made using these papers.  I took the sketch from the card and increased it to make this layout.

For the second layout, the photo was of Thomas only a couple of days after he was born.
The smile on this little boys face is just so so adorable.  He makes you smile.

For this layout I have to admit that I did some fussy cutting.  I know not many people love it but I do.  I think it is therapy.  I guess I like the way I do it because it is quite quick as I leave a small border around the outer edge.  This also allows you to ink it and not go over the actual images.

Well thank you for stopping by.

Until next time......

LOVE Makes All Things Grow

#artdecocreations   #couturecreationsaus    #ultimatecrafts

Welcome to the weekend everyone. I hope you all get to create some time over the weekend.
Anita back with you again today sharing with you a very quick and easy layout using very minimal product from the C'est La Vie collection.

For today's layout I used the 12x12 paper pad and the ephemera pack along with a chipboard title also from the collection.

To start today's layout I chose the Ivory cardstock from Ultimate Crafts.  This is such a lovely cardstock to use and the array of colours available is amazing.
I took my "Definitions" background stamp from the L'Aquarelle collection and stamped randomly around the edges in a brown in that matched the papers.  I then chose a second stamp from my stamp and added some more stamping to fill in the gaps.

Next I selected two pieces of patterned papers from the 12x12" paper pad. The two strips measure approximately 9 1/2" x 2".  I mounted these on some of the Carnation pink cardstock.  Next I ink around all the edges in a matching brown, the same at I used for the stamping.

Next I mounted my photo on to some of the Paper Bag coloured cardstock.  My photo was printed on my Canon Selphy and I left a white border around it rather than mounting the photo on ivory/white cardstock.  I adhered some matching pink lace from my stash to the reverse of the photo that I had also mounted on to some chipboard to give it more depth.

I chose several flowers from the ephemera collection along with a tag, some leaves, a couple of butterflies and the banner strip.  Before permanently adhering the photo to the page I placed all the ephemera pieces under and around the photo and then attached them all down.
Using my 'wink of Stella' clear pen I added some glittery accents to some of the ephemera pieces.

Finally I covered the chipboard with some of the gorgeous Rose Gold Vintage Matte foil. It matched in beautifully.  The chipboard set also has a couple of little flowers with it.  I also foiled these and included them in amongst the ephemera.

HOPE | Couture Creations

HAPPY 2018!!!!!!
Anita back with you today on the blog.

So who has made a resolution for this year??
More to the point, who has and has already broken it???
I answer "NO" to question one and therefore question two doesn't come in to it.

My philosophy is to go bigger and better than the year before.... so in saying that I am going to kick my craft out of the park :)

So.... in saying that my first post for 2018 is using the gorgeous new C'est La Vie range from Tina Higgins and Couture Creations.

So my card is all about layers.  Starting with an 'ivory' colour card base using the Ultimate Craft Cardstock, I then selected the 6x6" papers that I liked for my card.  The 1st piece I attached I trimmed down by 1/4" and then distressed the edges.  The paper was the one with the words along the top and bottom of the page.

Next I chose the stripe and cut it down  by 1",  created a banner from it and again distessing the edges, attaching it with double sided tape.

I then created two banners, a larger one in the really really pretty floral and a smaller one which I attached to the back of the floral one, in the spotty pink paper.

The chipboard from this collection is really pretty so I took the C'est La Vie border and sentiment set and using the Champagne coloured heat activated foil, foiled the chipboard frame.

Once all attached I took a couple of pieces of ephemera and attached them to the frame.  I also really like the fern chipboard from the collection so I wanted to use them too.  I inked them in a matching colour.  Too a little more texture to the card I added some white gauze under the flower cluster

You will notice a little glitter over a couple of the ephemera pieces. I used a 'Wink of Stella' pen to get this effect as I only wanted it very subtle. I inked up my white Couture Creations flowers with a matching pink.  I finished it off with a couple of smaller pale green flowers from my stash.
