"Hope and Love" | Ultimate Crafts

Welcome to FRIDAY!!!!

The layout I am sharing with you today was just so quick and easy.  Sometimes things just happen.  Well, since I have gotten my hands on to the Bohemian Bouquet  range from Denise Boddey I have been loving playing with the pretty papers and gorgeous dies.

To start I chose four of the patterned papers that matched beautifully together. Each strip was the full 30cm (12") long by 7.5cm (3") wide.  Next I distressed all the edges and attached them to a piece of white cardstock.

Once attached to the page I played with the edges again this time with my fingers rolling the edges a little more so you can slightly see the white cardstock underneath.

Next I chose a selection of the Decoupage papers for use later to decorate the page.  I used some of my Glitzin' Glamour in Lilac to all the burgundy colour on the Decoupage pieces.

Whilst the decoupage pieces were drying I selected a fifth coordinating patterned paper and cut a horizontal strip the width of approximately 13cm (5") and mounted it on some Ultimate Crafts cardstock in Cherry Cola.
Next I selected a couple of the words from the sheet of patterned paper that matched my photo and and mat them on to some of the Cherry Cola cardstock too.
My last task prior to construction was colouring two of the Ornate Corners chipboard with a matching ink.

I attached a strip of matching green lace from my stash to the lower edge of the 13cm wide strip and then mounted it on to my base mat over the top of the vertical strips approximately in the centre.  I added the chipboard to opposing corners, added my photo to the right of the page and then added the decoupage flowers to the left of the photo.  Finally I added the two words on to some foam tape adding a couple of 3mm Perfect Plum pearls to the words mounting them on my page.

Bohemian Bouquet Cards | Ultimate Crafts

Hi Everyone.

So today I get to show you my first creation with a beautiful and new collection which is being released from Ultimate Crafts very soon.  It is another gorgeous collection by the wonderful
Denise Boddey called Bohemian Bouquet.

To start I selected several papers from the 6x6" paper pad and trimmed them down to the size I wanted to use.  I then distressed the edges of all the papers using my Couture Creations scissors.

Next I die cut two of the Moonlit Orchid die and then inked the edges using a matching ink and dauber.

I attached the largest patterned paper to my card base and then attached the slightly smaller piece.  Next I mixed up a solution of the turquoise glitter mix and match powder with water and sprayed it liberally over the paper.  Below is the finished look. Being me and wanting things finished yesterday I dried it off with my heat gun.

I selected several flowers from my stash and the largest one which would take the centre of my card I sprayed with a mixture of water with the blue mix and match pigment powder from the Anna Griffin set.

The most important role of ribbon in my stash is basic white seam binding.  It allows me to change up to any colour combination that I want just by adding inks and spraying with water.  So for this card I used some matching blue/turqoise and purple.  I forgot to take a photo of the ribbon after I had sprayed it with water and dried it off, but you will see it a little in the close ups further down.

Once I had done all my elements all I did was construct the card to the finished product.
Here are some close up of the card.

I also created the same style card using the papers with reds and greens.

And here is a third card I made whilst I was having fun creating the other two.

Christmas Mini Album | Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Anita back with you today on the blog.

I have been really enjoying the new Couture Creations range designed by Tina Higgins,
Let Every Day Be Christmas. It is nice to work with a range that isn't the normal traditional
Christmas colours of greens and reds.  This range incorporates soft lemons with greens and blues and some hints of a red.  It is lovely, and should be in your papercraft stores now, or nearly there.

So, for my project today I have only used the A4 paper pad and the Ephemera pack from the range to make this concertina mini album.  All other bits and pieces came from my stash.

My mum loves projects like this that I make her that she can put a celebration is so when I give this to her it will have photos of our Christmas 2016 in it.

I won't go in to details about how to construct the album as I found it easily by doing a
simple search on You Tube.  The finished size of my album came to just over 5".

Inside my album I made some pages with small pockets each of which I adorned with some different laces.  Some pages had ephemera on them.

To be totally honest it was a very quick album to make.
