You Make Me Happy

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today.

I thought I would share with you a layout I created for D-lish Scraps Scrap Suite Facebook page for their November mood board. Each month the lovely Amanda creates and sells 'Just Add Paper' kits based around a mood board.  Everyone is welcome to create with the range and post to their blog and facebook page.  It is lovely to see what fellow scrappers have made with her gorgeous kit and or colour scheme.

I used a feather stencil from D-lish Scraps along with the gorgeous Colour Blast pastes to create the background of purples and jades.  The colours of the Colour Blast products are just so vibrant and beautiful.  Drop past their blog to see them being used so beautifully.

I teamed up the photo with matching purple and jade print papers, added some gorgeous D-lish Scraps embellishments and loved the finished layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you got to create over this Christmas holiday break.

See you next time.
Anita.

Magical Memories by Anita Enright

Hi Everyone,

And, just like that.... Christmas is now over for another year.  I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends and you have taken some great photos to scrap in 2017.

For my post today I have created a layout using the Wild & Free collection from Couture Creations also using a couple of the gorgeous dies from the Ornamental Affair Collection.

I loved the below photo so I just had to use it in a layout. It was taken on my honeymoon from our trip to Kuranda in Northern Queensland.

I wanted to keep my layout very 'clean' and simple so that all focus was drawn in on to the photo and that gorgeous Galah who was ever so happy to sit on my hand.

I chose to keep the base cardstock white so I chose the Snow White cardstock from Couture Creations.  I teamed the white up with Verde (green) and Fairy Wings (pink) cardstock as well from Couture Creations.
I double matted my photo on the white and green cardstock and added some 3D foam mounting tape to the reverse. Next I selected three patterned paper from the Wild & Free paper collection and layered them on the white base cardstock.
I cut out one of each of the Otis and Juniper doily dies, one in white and one in green cardstock, and one of the Everly Background and two of the Clementine Border in the pink cardstock.
Next cut the Otis and Juniper doilies in half and attach to the back of your mounted photo, then adhered this over the layers of Wild & Free papers.

I chose a border strip from the Ephemera pack, cut it in half and attach it close to the bottom edge of the page, half on each side.  Looking through the sticker sheet available in the Wild & Free collection pack I found the perfect sticker that I could use for my title.  I mounted it on some of the green cardstock and snipped in the sides to look like a double ended banner. Mount this on some 3D foam mounting tape. Next I took one of the Clementine Border dies and cut two small pieces from it and attach to the reverse of the title and then added it to the centre of the emphemera strip that I earlier attached to the bottom of my cardstock base. The other Clementine Border I adhered along the right side of the patterned papers and tucked in the Everly Background die cut to the top right side of the patterned papers.

To finish I added a round sticker with the word 'untamed' on it and attached it slightly over the photo using 3D foam dots to the back to level it out.  I used one of the Cottage Pollen bulk flowers and lightly inked then edges in a matching pink ink and then spritzed it with water so that the ink softened.
This was a nice, quick and easy layout to complete and I am happy with the result.  It will be put in a frame and hung on the wall in my craft room.

Thanks for stopping by today.
With only a couple of days to go I hope you all have a wonderful start to 2017.
Party hard on New Years Eve but party safely.

Ciao for now.

Me and My Bro

Hiya Everyone,

This is a layout I created for D-lish Scraps Creative Team.

I haven't been taking many photos lately, not sure really why, so for some of my latest creations I have been going through the 100's oh pictures that I have in a box waiting to be beautified

The photo that I have used in the layout is one of my gorgeous younger brother Mark. We are extremely close, but I miss him dearly as he lives in Melbourne.

I can honestly say I love the shirt that Mark is wearing so that is why I pulled out the white and orange colours of it to base my layout on.  I pulled out some borders punches that I hadn't used in ages to make the frame for the page.  I love being part of the D-lish Scraps Creative Team as I get to continually search through my paper pads and sheets to find papers that I had forgotten that I had.  I also helps me get my stash down so I can buy more 😉

I didn't want to make it to fluffy and girlie so I kept the flowers to a minimum but using a magnolia, rose, poppy and apple blossom. These were teamed up with a little heart raw wood veneer, some of the oh so cute puffy alphabet stickers and ombre wordfetti. Oh, and I added some matching
'splats' of pink ink.  And of course a very cute hessian Charm's Creations arrow to finish.

Ciao for now :)

Duo Set

Hi Everyone, Anita back with you on the blog today.

I hope everyone is pretty set for Christmas now.  I am finally set WOOHOO!!.

Today's creations had me steered away from Christmas as I really wanted to use the new Ornamental Affair and  On the Edge collections of dies.  I have to say the ones I already have in my collection are gorgeous and I cannot wait to use more of them in upcoming projects.
Both cards are using colours of white, a very pale lilac and gold metallic cardstock.

After cutting out two of the Rosey Ferns Footer die from the On the Edge range of dies, you just see how gorgeous these dies are.  And they cut so beautifully, like all the other dies in any of the other collections.

I cut my card base in Snow White Ultimate Crafts cardstock to approximately 5.75" so that the two die cuts beautifully bordered the card base. I lightly inked the edge of the card base with a matching lilac ink.
I have yet to get my hands on some of the Die Cut N Bond from Ultimate Crafts for adhering the delicate dies to other cardstock, so I used my Turbo Precision Glue Pen to adhere the diecuts to my card base.

Next I took some of the purple pigment powders and mixed it up with some water before colouring up one of the Cottage Pollen flowers

I wanted a really nice mat to put my sentiment on so I raided my Ooh La La dies and found the middle size of the Nesting Labels Set the perfect size to cut out in the Snow White cardstock.

During construction I liked the idea of using some gold metallic twine behind the flower.  I added a pop of more gold behind the big flower by using some of the Gold and Silver Bouquets from the Be Merry and Classic Christmas range.

To finish, I heat embossed my chipboard sentiment using the Mirror Gold embossing powder from the Classic Metallics range of Embossing Powder.  I double embossed the chipboard to get a very very shiny finish and raised look to the chipboard.

Te second card of the set I went opposite in colours to the 1st card.  I used the pale lilac as my card base and the Snow White on top.
On this card I used the Juniper Doily.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cute cards.

Ciao for now.

Be Merry and Classic Christmas - By Anita Enright

Hi Everyone

The layout I am sharing with you today was a nice and quick one for me to do using the Berry Merry and Classic collection by Couture Creations.

To start, so that I framed my layout I chose the red Garnet cardstock from the Ultimate Crafts Cardstock range.  I selected the star print background paper from the Be Merry and Classic 12x12" paper stack and cut it to 11x11" adhering it to the red cardstock.

Next I cut out two of the Falling Bauble die in red glitter paper from the Be Merry and Bright glitter cardstock pack. Deconstruct the die cut so that you have 6 individual strings of baubles.
Next select 3 matching patterned papers from the Be Merry and Classic paper stack and cut them in to different sizes to tuck in behind your photo.
As my photo was printed with the white border I mounted in on some of the Hippodrome dark grey cardstock from Ultimate Crafts.

I adhered my mounted photo (using 3D foam tape)  on to the larger piece of patterned paper and then adhered the smaller pieces to the back of the larger lighter piece.

I taped down the photo to the bottom portion of the layout base.  Next I took my deconstructed baubles and glued them to the top left side of the layout after snipping them to different lengths to get a really nice effect. I added some strips of washi tape from my collection and then went through the Berry Merry and Classic ephemera collection and pulled out several of the banners to attach to the top of the photo and an oval Merry Christmas sentiment for the title.  Bling the title up with a few of the 3mm pearls and you're done.

"... beYOUtiful GIRL"

Hello again,

I'm sharing with you my page using the JUST ADD PAPER kit for November from D-lish Scraps.  I have always loved this colour combination so just had to find some great photos to use on it.
This is my gorgeous little girl Molly, Princess Molly as we like to call her.  She is no longer this little thought, she is now a big 7 year old but is just a bigger version of this cutie pie.
It is very fitting that these photos just so happen to have a pillow in them that matches the colour theme of the Peacock Parade kit perfectly.

I started with a patterned piece of paper and covered it in Gesso then allowed it to dry.  Once dry I went to town with both colour sprays and shimmer sprays from Colour Blast and allowed the purple to run a little over the page. After the sprays dried I then used some white texture paster over a stencil to add some extra interest on the paper and give it a 3D effect.
In the JUST ADD PAPER  kit you also got a cut little feather stencil.  I used some of the coloured texture paste from Colour Blast to add some green feathers over the page.

The gorgeous raw wood veneer title I heat embossed using both a purple and jade green powder.  I did it a couple of times to get a rich coating to the wood.

I think I used over half of the November kit, and added some more flowers including a magnolia, apple blossom, forget me nots, poppy and a few different size roses and some of the Puffy Alphabet StickersI spritzed a rose and magnolia in a matching colour spray and 'dribbled' some purple colour spray over the apple blossom before giving it a light spray.

I really liked the frosted round cabochons and the loose sequins in the kit and just had to use them.  The flair buttons in the kit were to die for, so I kept a couple for another layout.  Once all my embellies and photos were attached to the page I added some of the washi tape from the kit from the side edges of the page to the edge of a couple of the photos.

If you aren't quick enough to pick up the monthly kit, you can always find similar products in the D-lish Scraps store.  Monthly kits sell out very quickly on the day of their release so make sure you are on the D-lish Scraps Facebook page on the evening on release so that you don't miss out.  All the details you need will be there. You will also get sneak peeks in the lead up to the release as well.

Well I hope you liked my layout that I did using the Just Add Paper kit.
I am sure you will find more wonderful creations appearing throughout the month of December.

Until next time, stay happy 😄

Laugh.......

Welcome back Everyone,

I don't know about you but I am f the 'vintage' where there always used to be sayings about colours that should or should not be put together... it might have been at '80's thing.

Well one of those colour combinations was "blue and green should never be seen".... well let me tell you how wrong they were.  I think they look amazing together.

I love how scrapbooking is all about making the photo the hero of the page.  The new Instagram photo size availability when printing our photos is a great change from the generic 4x6" and 5x7" photos that once appeared on our pages.  I like how the square photo give more background to play and embellish :)

I found a piece of patterned paper in my stash that looked like bricks and decided to follow some of the white lines to cut an unusual shape to the paper and then attached it to a piece of white cardstock. I added a few splatters of green and blue ink to match in with the photo and other embellishments.
I plucked out one of the previous 'Just Add Paper' kits Tranquil Pools from my overflowing collection and used a lot of the kit due to how well the colours matched the photo.

You have to be oh so quick to snap up one of the monthly kits they definitely don't last long in the store. In saying that there are so many goodies in the store including embellies I've used on my layout -  punchinella, flair buttons, resin flowers, colour journal spots, twine, suede tassels and wood veneers

I used a fine tip glue pen to draw a squiggly line around my page before sticking down the twine.  It was a different alternative to me normally attaching it with a stapler. I coated my 'laugh' wood veneer with blue embossing powder and heat embossed it.
The wood veneer stars I just simply inked with a matching lime green ink. The finishing touch was the lime green Charms Creation felt banner.

I am loving creating for D-lish Scraps.  I get to play with some really bright colours which I really love, and all the embellishments..... perfect!!.
With summer just around the corner and temperatures starting to heat up alot and kids about to start their summer holiday break, it's time to get out the cameras and start snapping photos.  You'll then have plenty on hand when Amanda releases the next Just Add Paper kit.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I off back to my craft desk to play a little more before heading in to work.

Don't forget to drop by the blog everyday to see some new inspiration.

Ciao for now

True Love

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for dropping by today.  I am sharing you my latest creation using the Ooh La La collection from Ultimate Crafts.
For this layout of my mum with us three kids I really wanted to incorporate white and black and found two perfect patterned papers in the collection to base my layout on.  I also wanted to use some of the Anna Griffin pastes and stencils on the layout also.
Below is my finished layout.

I really love using the Anna Griffin Mixed Media products and particularly love the Embossing Paste.  So for this project I mixed some Cafe Latte coloured ink in with the texture paste.  Looking at the finished colour it reminded me of a brown sugar icing I make for my cupcakes.

When using stencils I always hold them in place with some removable tape or some old washi tape so it will stay in place whilst I apply the paste over the stencil on to the cardstock.  For this layout I used the Botanical Damask stencil.

I selected two papers in the 12x12" paper stack that had white as part of the print.  The stripe print I cut a 3" wide strip x 11" long, turning it into a long banner, adhering it to the damask print patterned paper. I mounted my photo on to the white cardstock where I added the embossing paste.

Using the Peacock Feather die and the inner square doily from the Framed Floral Set of dies.  I then sprayed a Cottage Pollen flower with adhesive spray and scattered gold glitter from the Anna Griffin Glitter Set over the spray, shaking off the excess glitter.

Once the flower is dry finish the layout by arranging the flower and die cuts on the page adding a couple more of the Couture Creations Bulk Flowers and a wooden title to finish the page.
Below are a couple of close up photos of the finished layout.
